Three's company

Welcome to Three's Company

Heather & Rachael met each other through The Mellow Dramatics in 1999, and soon became great friends, sharing a love for both singing and dancing. They started to enter duet sections in local festivals which soon led to them entering solo classes and looking for further opportunities to perform together.

Heather and Rachael then decided to hold a charity concert for The Queens Hospital Cancer Appeal in November 2003. They enlisted the help of a number of friends from Mellows’ including Edward Moore. After a number of brainstorming sessions “One Night Stand” was born and was a great success raising £1600 for the appeal.

The following year Edward became a lot more involved and took an equal role with Heather and Rachael in the production of “Second Time Around”. This charity concert raised £1300 for The Burton Cancer Patients Fund. The show included more ensemble numbers such as “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy” and “Can You Feel The Love Tonight”.

In 2005 they decided that as they were putting more and more shows on, they would form a small theatre company, and became Three's Company (which was also the title of the third show). This time all proceeds went to The Anthony Nolan Trust.

Going forward, Heather, Rachael and Edward hope to perform entire musicals that require only a few cast members, and are currently in the process of finalizing their license application for the musical “I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change” which is scheduled for Friday October 31 st and November 1 st 2008. They would like to thank everybody for their continued support and hope this will continue in the future.

I LOVE YOU, YOU'RE PERFECT, NOW CHANGE

Book and lyrics by Joe DiPietro

Music by Jimmy Roberts

This amateur production is presented by arrangement with JOSEF WEINBERGER LIMITED on behalf of R&H THEATRICALS

Synopsis:

A musical comedy with everything you ever secretly thought about dating, romance, marriage, lovers, husbands, wives and in-laws, but were afraid to admit!!

I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change is presented in the form of a series of vignettes connected by the central theme of love and relationships. With few exceptions, the scenes stand independent of the others, but progress in a fashion designed to suggest an over all arc to relationships throughout the course of ones life. A first date, for example, comes before scenes dealing with marriage, and scenes dealing with marriage come before those dealing with child rearing. Despite the large number of characters, the show is typically done with a comparatively small cast: The original Off-Broadway production uses a cast of four.
